I have been involved with the game of baseball for nearly 50-years and have known Coach Ayres for 12 of those years.Coach Ayres and I met when I was coaching a 9/10U Travel Baseball team in Columbus, Indiana.Coach Ayres came down once per week during the season and twice per week during the offseason to work with our young pitchers.During the time together, Coach Ayres helped our boys develop endurance, control, and more than anything confidence.Our local team, Columbus Crush, went from being a one and done on Sunday to competing for tournament championships.
Coach Ayres not only worked with our boys but also with our coaches to establish better game communication and results.All of the young boys that Coach Ayres worked with started for their respective high school baseball teams, whether on Freshman, JV, or Varsity.Over half of the young men received some type of college baseball scholarship offers and have become successful college student-athletes.

Let me start off by simply saying- we hit the jackpot, meeting Coach Bill. It’s truly an experience, rather than pitching lessons/coaching. Coach Bill Ayres has developed an unique way to establish a special, personal connection with his pitchers. His disciplined, yet encouraging approach promotes the importance of proper warm ups, throwing mechanics, nutrition, and mental focus. He fosters good habits for longevity to make the most of each pitchers potential, while helping to prevent injury. Working with coach Ayres has greatly improved my sons pitching and deepened his appreciation for what it takes to play baseball well.

My oldest started training with Bill 7 years ago.. Over the course of his training, I have watched my son drastically improve his accuracy and velocity without compromising the integrity of his arm. Bill is a major contributor to the reason my son will be a collegiate athlete in the Fall of 2022. He has taught Aidan to be confident and consistent on the mound, and to trust his mechanics regardless of the situation. My youngest son will continue to train under Bill for the years to come and I am excited to see the progression he continues to make.

Coach Bill was invaluable to my teams over my 3 year’s of coaching. He taught repeatable pitching mechanics, 3 effective pitches (fastball, change, and slurve), and the thought process to compete! His pitcher’s compete and he makes them better human beings in the process!

We met Bill Ayres 10 years ago in 2012. All I can say is WOW! Full of energy and 100% full speed ahead.
Caleb, my son, finished his freshman year at Roncalli and was worried about pitching his sophomore year. We got him on a travel team. He was holding his own, but nothing electric! Caleb was a left handed pitcher that was sitting in the low 70’s. In a matter of weeks he had gained 10 mph from lessons with Bill. He had Caleb lengthen his stride and really started working with his hands. Caleb pitched all through High School where he had some pretty impressive games. Bill helped Caleb get into the mid to high 80’s with a lot of work and dedication. Caleb went on to play at Kankakee Community College where they won the NJAAC Div 2 World Series. And he got a scholarship to the University of South Carolina Upstate which is a NCAA Div 1 program in the Big South. His senior year he stayed in contact with Bill and adjusted as necessary. He became their main reliever and threw in 44 games reaching 89 mph. Coach Bill did an outstanding job working with Caleb and I would recommend him highly if you want your son to accelerate and succeed on the mound!

Coach Bill’s approach is simple and effective leading pitchers to learn how to “pitch” NOT be throwers. This mindset leads to the best arm care program of pitching many other coaches just don’t teach. My son has seen Coach Bill for 9 years consistently leading to great success on the field and an opportunity to play in college. As his students grow and mature physically, Bill also teaches great mental toughness through simple exercises on the mound. Coach Bill undoubtably will help with the maturation of your sons pitching, taking videos and breaking down mechanics in real time.
